As a proud daughter of Guåhan, Senator Perez's work is rooted in service, justice, and the CHamoru value of inafa’maolek. As an educator, she spent nearly a decade teaching in Guam’s public schools, where she witnessed the everyday challenges facing students, families, and the broader community.

With over 15 years of experience in grassroots organizing, she has devoted herself to protecting access to clean drinking water, advocating for CHamoru self-determination and human rights, and preserving sacred lands such as Litekyan.

Her approach to leadership is shaped by a deep connection to the island, a strong sense of environmental responsibility, and a commitment to uplifting people-centered policy—ensuring that decisions made today lead to a more just, sustainable, and resilient future for all.
